These tiny, sweet-and-salty bites are irresistibly delicious and incredibly simple to make — only three ingredients and about 10 minutes to a perfect party appetizer or healthy snack.

Are these not the most charming little party bites?
We’ve been on a sweet-and-salty kick lately, so I’ve been dipping fresh clementine segments in dark chocolate and finishing them with a light dusting of sea salt. The result is bright and citrusy, with a creamy chocolate coating and a subtle salty finish that makes them totally addictive.
Yum!

You can tell how easy these are just from the photos, but I’ve included the full recipe below so you can make them at home.
All you need are a few handfuls of clementines, some good-quality dark chocolate, and a few grains of sea salt. Fleur de sel is lovely if you have it, but kosher salt can work too — just use it sparingly. A little salt goes a long way to highlight the citrus and chocolate.

I had a hard time resisting these while photographing them — they’re definitely difficult to stop eating once you start!
If they don’t make it to the party, don’t worry: you can whip up another tray in about ten minutes. They’re inexpensive, unique, and perfect for winter gatherings or any time you want an elegant, easy bite. Even folks who usually prefer savory snacks tend to reach for these petite treats.

Give these a try at your next get-together — they’re sure to be a conversation starter, and you’ll love how simple they are to prepare.
Chocolate Dipped Clementines with Sea Salt

Ingredients
- 7-8 medium clementines
- 4 oz. dark chocolate, finely chopped
- A few pinches sea salt, such as fleur de sel
Instructions
-
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Peel the clementines and separate them into individual segments; set aside.
-
Melt the dark chocolate in a small bowl in the microwave in short bursts, stirring between each, or melt over a double boiler. Dip each clementine segment into the chocolate, then place it on the prepared sheet. Sprinkle immediately with a tiny pinch of sea salt before the chocolate sets.
-
When all pieces are dipped, allow the chocolate to harden at room temperature, or refrigerate the sheet for about 10 minutes to speed the process. Store the finished bites in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
-
Enjoy!
