Day 4: Wilderness Adventures and Tips for Outdoor Living

There is nothing more peaceful than sitting at the kitchen table and looking out a window onto a thoughtfully arranged view. My current view could use a little attention, and I plan to make some simple improvements over the next couple of weeks. The photo above shows a scene that’s easy to recreate: tidy, calm, and anchored by a few low-maintenance plants. Often, that’s all you need to lift the mood and make your space feel more inviting.

If you have a backyard—or even just a balcony or patio—I have a small challenge for you today.

Simple Daily Challenge: Spend 5 to 10 minutes cleaning every window you can safely reach, both inside and out. That’s it. If your home has many windows or multiple stories, consider hiring help for the higher or harder-to-reach panes. For most of us, focus on the ground-floor windows you can reach safely. Sliding glass doors count too, since they’re often the primary view in apartments and townhouses.

A quick, regular window cleaning instantly improves your view and brightens your home. Little tasks like this add up and make your living space feel fresher and more cared for.

Enjoy the process,
