Now it’s time to plan for Christmas—my favorite holiday. I love the decorations, cozy movies, festive music, special breakfasts, and the excitement of children waiting for Santa. Most of all I love baking seasonal treats. This year I’ll be sharing several holiday recipes, and the first one I made are these Christmas Almond Chocolate Cups. They turned out wonderfully and are so easy to make.

If you want a quick holiday treat, make these chocolate cups right away. They require no oven and only three ingredients. Melt good-quality dark chocolate, stir in salted roasted almonds, spoon the mixture into a muffin tin, top with festive sprinkles, and chill until set. The process is simple enough for kids to help, and the results are delicious.

Easy, no-bake chocolate cups with roasted salted almonds and festive sprinkles—ready in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips or chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup salted, roasted almonds
  • 2 tablespoons Christmas sprinkles (or any sprinkles)

Instructions

  • Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until fully melted. Take care not to overheat the chocolate.
  • Stir in the salted roasted almonds until they are evenly coated with chocolate.
  • Spoon about two tablespoons of the chocolate-and-almond mixture into each cup of a muffin tin or silicone mold.
  • Sprinkle the tops with Christmas sprinkles or your preferred decoration.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes, or until the cups are firm. Remove from the tin and serve.

Notes

  • If you don’t have chocolate chips, melt chocolate baking bars instead.
  • Use semi-sweet, dark, or milk chocolate depending on your preference.
  • Although this recipe is dressed up for Christmas, you can swap sprinkles to make it suitable for birthdays, Easter, Halloween, or everyday treats.
  • Storage: Store the almond chocolate cups covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
