Frozen Yogurt Cupcakes with Berry Swirl — No-Bake Dessert

Frozen yogurt cupcakes are SO fun and easy to make! Perfect for a healthy after school snack and they look just like cupcakes!

These are so much fun and delicious too. With only three main ingredients you can make these adorable mini frozen yogurt “cupcakes” that kids — and adults — will enjoy. They aren’t traditional cupcakes, but they look and feel like a bite-sized treat, making them perfect for a healthy snack or a quick breakfast bite.

We make a lot of homemade yogurt and serve cereal regularly, so combining the two felt like a playful and nutritious after-school option for my three girls.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. Yogurt tubes (whole milk or your preferred variety)
  2. Annie’s Organic Berry Bunnies cereal (or a similar fruity cereal)
  3. Whipped cream (optional)
  4. Butter (just a bit to bind the cereal)

If you haven’t tried Annie’s Organic products, they’re a longtime brand (since 1989) with a range of certified organic foods. We often keep their macaroni and cheese in the pantry and enjoy their products for snacks and meals.

To prepare: crush about 2 cups of Annie’s Berry Bunnies cereal in a plastic bag or bowl until it resembles coarse sand. Mix the crushed cereal with 3 tablespoons of melted butter, then lightly spray a mini muffin pan with nonstick spray. Press the cereal-butter mixture into each muffin cup until it’s about halfway full — pressing gently to form a compact base.

Next, squeeze yogurt from the tubes over the cereal base. One yogurt tube will usually fill 3–4 mini muffin cups; for a 12-cup pan you’ll need about eight tubes. Once the yogurt reaches the top of each cup, place the pan in the freezer for at least two hours until firm.

When set, pop the frozen yogurt cupcakes out of the pan and add a small dollop of whipped cream and a single cereal bunny or sprinkle on top for a festive finish. They make a fun, portable, and mostly wholesome treat.

These mini treats are quick to assemble and great for getting kids involved — crushing cereal and pressing bases are simple tasks little hands can help with.

After you try these, you might also enjoy making other no-bake or frozen desserts for summer:
