Honey-Lime Grilled Pork Chops with Sticky Glaze

Summer is the best season for grilling: warm days, time spent outdoors and simple, satisfying meals with minimal cleanup. Grilling is fast, easy, and perfect for making the most of long summer evenings.

These honey-lime grilled pork chops are one of the simplest weeknight dinners you can make. The pork benefits from a short marinade of a few hours, so if you mix the marinade in the afternoon, the chops will be ready on the grill and cooked in under 15 minutes. That gives you plenty of time to prepare a quick side or simply relax outdoors while everything comes together.

For sides, keep it simple: toss vegetables on the grill alongside the chops, or prepare a fresh salad and a grain like rice or quinoa. A loaf of crusty bread or warm biscuits also pair wonderfully with these pork chops. Light, seasonal sides such as grilled asparagus or a vegetable quinoa stir-fry work especially well and keep the meal balanced without taking much extra time.

The pork chops turn out tender, juicy, and full of bright honey and lime flavor. They’re ideal for a fast summer supper when you want something delicious without spending hours in the kitchen. Aim to avoid overcooking so the meat remains moist and flavorful.

Enjoy these chops on a sunny evening, and relish the relaxed pace of summer cooking. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend — and a happy holiday to those celebrating.

Ingredients

  • 6-8 pork chops
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 2 limes
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

Instructions

  1. In a large dish, whisk together the olive oil, honey, juice from both limes, minced garlic, salt, and dried basil. Add the pork chops and turn them several times so each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for 4–6 hours to marinate.
  2. Preheat the grill to medium (about 400°F). Grill the pork chops 10–15 minutes, until cooked through. For chops 3/4″ or thinner, cook 4–5 minutes per side; thicker chops may need 7–8 minutes per side. Avoid overcooking to keep the meat juicy.
