Food Blogger Connect 2010: Highlights and New Blog Layout

When I first read about Food Blogger Connect 2009, it was already too late — the announcement came the day before the event and I couldn’t get to London in time. Since then I’ve checked the site constantly, waiting for news about the next gathering. A few days ago the organizers opened registration for Food Blogger Connect 2010, and I didn’t hesitate.

I’ve already booked a ticket for the Saturday Session (breakfast, BBQ lunch, breaks, afternoon tea and cocktail hour), and I’m considering staying for Sunday as well (brunch, prop swap, awards and closing). I’ll be in London with Jasmine and Manuel from Labna, representing Italy. I have to admit I’m counting down the days — it would be amazing to share this experience with some of the world’s most inspiring food bloggers. Take a look at the speakers for a preview of what to expect.

Before I dive into details about Food Blogger Connect 2010, I want to say how proud I am of my blog’s new design. A huge thank you to Kia for creating a layout that’s creative, elegant and full of patience — you rock! It really feels like a fresh start.

Here’s what you need to know about Food Blogger Connect 2010

Food Blogger Connect 2010 takes place June 4th, 5th and 6th in London. It’s an event you won’t want to miss.
Visit the official event page to see the full programme, speakers, venues and itinerary. You’ll notice the ticket price is higher than last year — but there’s a lot more included this time. The schedule now features dinner, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, BBQ, a blindfolded wine tasting, cocktails and brunch, all scheduled around information-packed workshops and roundtables. There will also be prop swaps, awards and numerous prizes, including cupcake-decorating classes from Bea’s of Bloomsbury. If last year’s goodie bags impressed you, this year’s are set to be even better.
Spreading the programme across Friday, Saturday and Sunday lets attendees participate more fully than before. In addition to hands-on workshops, there will be Q&A sessions during and after discussions. With three days of activities you’ll have plenty of time to meet people, network, exchange ideas and learn from one another. The event is structured so you can choose to attend a single day, two days, or the full weekend according to your schedule.
If you were at last year’s event, you’ll remember how much you learned and how much fun it was to connect with other bloggers even in just one day. Now imagine that experience extended across three days — you’ll return home inspired and better equipped to grow your blog, whatever your goals may be.
Tickets are available now and selling quickly. Space is intentionally limited to keep the event intimate, so if you’re interested, decide soon. If you have questions, leave a comment on the FBC blog or email the organisers at [email protected].
